The Egg Hatch tool estimates a duration from the base hours, base minutes and a continuous percentage increase in hatch speed. It does not choose an egg, look up egg data, or model random cooldown reductions. Copy the base duration from your current game state.
Speed increases and time reductions are different
new duration = base duration ÷ (1 + speed bonus ÷ 100)
A 50% speed increase makes the process run at 1.5 times its normal rate. It does not halve the waiting time. A 50% time reduction would halve the time, but that is a different mechanic and should not be entered as a 50% speed bonus.
Example: two hours with 50% faster speed
Enter Hours 2, Minutes 0, and Bonus Speed 50. The baseline is 120 minutes. Dividing 120 by 1.5 gives 80 minutes, displayed as 1h 20m 0s. Compared with the baseline, the saving is 40 minutes.
Example: a shorter hatch with a 25% bonus
Enter Hours 0, Minutes 45, and Bonus Speed 25. The estimate is 45 ÷ 1.25 = 36 minutes. With a zero bonus, the output must equal the original 45 minutes. These are arithmetic examples, not current statistics for specific eggs.
How to enter the fields
- Use whole hours and minutes, keeping minutes from 0 to 59. For 90 minutes enter 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Use a non-negative speed bonus. Leave it at zero for the baseline.
- Select Calculate and compare the result with the baseline.
- Use Reset before changing to another scenario.
The calculator rejects a zero total duration, negative values, invalid minutes and non-finite results. It rounds the calculated duration up to the next whole second and normalizes hours, minutes and seconds, avoiding results such as “0h 60m”.
When one calculation is insufficient
A boost that expires halfway through a hatch requires a calculation in separate intervals. A pet that periodically removes a fixed number of seconds is also different from a continuous speed multiplier. Do not add unrelated percentages together unless you have verified how the current game combines those effects.
For planning, record the egg, start time, base duration, bonus type, expiry time and actual finish time. Compare an estimate against a completed hatch under the same conditions before using it to plan a longer session. Game updates can change the underlying rules.

Compare speed bonuses on the same two-hour timer
| Continuous speed increase | Rate multiplier | Estimated wait |
|---|---|---|
| 0% | 1.00× | 2 hours |
| 25% | 1.25× | 1 hour 36 minutes |
| 50% | 1.50× | 1 hour 20 minutes |
| 100% | 2.00× | 1 hour |
Use the same base timer for this comparison. A boost that expires halfway through the hatch requires separate time segments. The current tool does not simulate a changing schedule or periodic pet activations.
