The mutation calculator compares how a selected crop’s stored modifiers change its estimated Sheckle value. Weight, growth variant, environmental mutations, quantity and Friend Boost all matter. A multiplier alone is not the sale price of a fruit.
Start with a controlled baseline, then change one setting. The examples below document the site’s calculation model; they do not certify every mutation or combination against the current game.
Growth variants and environmental bonuses
The tool separates one growth variant from the environmental bonus. Normal is 1×, Silver 5×, Gold 20×, and Rainbow or Diamond 50× in the stored model. Selecting a different growth variant replaces the previous variant.
Environmental modifiers use this formula:
environmental factor = 1 + Σ(each selected environmental multiplier − 1)
estimated total = base plant value at the entered weight × growth variant × environmental factor × quantity × Friend Boost factor
The base plant value depends on the selected crop and its weight, including any low-weight branch. The mutation summary in Guide lists stored multipliers. It is a reference for this calculator, not a live feed of game rules.
Controlled examples you can reproduce
Select only Carrot at 0.240 kg, quantity one and 0% Friend Boost. Its stored base value is 18.
| Selected modifiers | Calculation | Site estimate |
|---|---|---|
| None | 18 × 1 | 18 |
| Tranquil | 18 × 20 | 360 |
| Pasta | 18 × 3 | 54 |
| Pasta + Sauce | 18 × (1 + 2 + 2) | 90 |
| Gold + Wet | 18 × 20 × (1 + 1) | 720 |
For the two environmental modifiers Pasta and Sauce, the environmental factor is 5, not 9. Multiplying every environmental label together would overstate this site’s model. The example tests the arithmetic; confirm that any real combination is present and valid on your item before entering it.
Use a reliable comparison sequence
- Select the exact crop and enter its actual weight.
- Set quantity to one and Friend Boost to 0% for the first comparison.
- Choose Clear mutations and record the baseline.
- Select one environmental mutation, then record the new result.
- Reproduce the full mutation set on your actual fruit, add its applicable variant and boost, and record those inputs with the final estimate.
Clear mutations now keeps your plant selection. It removes the previous mutation set so that a new test does not inherit an old bonus. Selecting a second growth variant replaces the first one; it does not stack Gold and Rainbow.
Why the displayed multiplier is not enough
A 20× mutation gives different totals on different crops and weights. On the Carrot model, an unmodified 1 kg item is 275 and a 2 kg item is 1,100. The same factor therefore acts on different base amounts. Quantity and Friend Boost further change the total.
The on-screen total and Add to List share the same formula and final rounding. Saved entries are snapshots of the settings at the time you added them. Changing the current selection does not rewrite an earlier saved entry; remove and add it again to replace that comparison.
Valid combinations need an in-game check
The interface lets you inspect stored environmental options. It cannot prove that every visible combination is obtainable in the current game. Some effects may replace another effect, depend on an event, or change after balancing. Select only modifiers visible on the item you are valuing.
The former Auto Max button has been removed because it chose random settings rather than calculating a verified attainable maximum. There is no claim that selecting every large multiplier produces a real crop.
Record a useful mutation test
| Keep fixed | Record what changed |
|---|---|
| Crop, exact weight and quantity | One mutation or variant |
| Friend Boost percentage | Baseline and modified estimate |
| Other environmental modifiers | Game description and date |
| The same item when checking the game | Observed value and any rounding |
Reverse estimates with mutations
In V to W mode, use one plant, the complete mutation set, quantity and boost. A missing multiplier changes the weight required to produce the target. If the target belongs to several identical fruits, enter that quantity before calculating. The tool reports minimum-value ambiguity when the value cannot identify one exact weight.
Common questions
Can I use this as a trade-value list?
No. It estimates a stored sell-value model. Player demand, scarcity and negotiated trades are separate from that estimate.
What if the site and game disagree?
Reproduce the unmodified baseline first, then add one mutation at a time. Send the crop, full inputs, observed value, expected value and game-update date through the contact page.
Does this tool guarantee all new mutations are included?
No. Stored entries can lag behind updates. A guide revision date identifies the explanation’s review, not a full independent validation of the dataset.
